The Centennial Museum and Chihuahuan Desert Gardens is the oldest museum in El Paso and is located on the campus of the University of Texas at El Paso in El Paso, Texas, in the United States. The museum was constructed in 1963 to celebrate the 100th anniversary of Texas independence. El Paso Hard Money , Over 600 native plant species can be found at the museum's Chihuahuan Desert Gardens. The gardens are designed to show how native plants can be used in landscaping that is both beautiful and water-efficient. In a number of "theme" gardens, more than 600 species of natural plants to the Greater Chihuahuan Desert Region are grown.

Additionally, the gardens provide a venue for both casual and formal botany and environmental teaching. The gardens are linked to a sizable library of plant photos and related data. In order to create and curate exhibitions that are pertinent to the research being done in the UTEP Biodiversity Collections as well as to provide specimens and information for community outreach, the Chihuahuan Desert Gardens collaborate with the UTEP Biodiversity Collections.
