Gaylord Opryland Resort & Convention Center

In Nashville, Tennessee, there is a hotel and convention center called Gaylord Opryland Resort & Convention Center, formerly known as Opryland Hotel. Marriott International runs it; Ryman Hospitality Properties owns it. It is one of the 30 largest hotels in the world and has 2,888 rooms.

The Opryland Hotel was initially constructed to assist the Grand Ole Opry, a Nashville country music institution that had relocated to the area three years earlier, and it opened its doors on November 26, 1977, on property adjacent to the Opryland USA amusement park. At that time, the hotel included a ballroom and 580 guest rooms. A stately Southern estate with an outstanding staircase and a Tiffany-style chandelier is how the Magnolia Lobby was imagined.

The resort's size was doubled by a 4.5-acre extension finished in 1996, which included an addition of 1,000 guest rooms, 10 conference spaces, a 289,000-square-foot show hall, and a 57,000-square-foot ballroom. The Delta Atrium, with its Cajun-themed design and quarter-mile-long indoor river, was this addition's distinguishing feature. In order to transport visitors along the river and through a water display with jets that were coordinated to music, flatboats were introduced.

Especially if you take the Delta River boat cruise, at least two or three hours (worth it). You'll benefit from knowing your location and how you got there when it comes time to depart.
