At 1658 Sterling Road in Charlotte, NC, you can find Discovery Place Nature, formerly known as the Charlotte Nature Museum. A butterfly pavilion, live species, insects, and a range of native North Carolina animals are among the live animal exhibits and interactive nature exhibits available at the museum.
Discovery Place Nature is a part of the Discovery Place brand, a group of museums in North Carolina that also includes Discovery Place Science, an interactive science museum in uptown Charlotte, and Discovery Place Kids in Huntersville, NC, and Rockingham, NC. The museum is situated next to the 98-acre Freedom Park and the Little Sugar Creek Greenway.
